This page was originally set up to show how to get hold of the accents required for Welsh. However, it has progressed beyond that now, as several people have said how useful it is, so I have extended it somewhat to show other accents as well.
These accents should work with the following TrueType fonts in Windows 95 or later: Garamond, Times New Roman, Arial, Courier New, Tahoma, Verdana. If they dont work on your system, youll see your standard missing character character instead. If you have a PC running Windows and cant see all of them, either you have a very old system, or Multilanguage Support is not turned on (in the latter case, go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Windows Setup, and select multilanguage support).
If you have Windows XP then almost every TrueType and Open Type font contains these characters. The exceptions are mainly the fonts containing Asian character sets, and any old legacy fonts you may have installed because you love them and cant bear to be without them!

The last time I checked, Netscape didnt like Ÿ although it does like ÿ. This seems to be because the lower-case letter is in the ISO Latin-1 character set, but the capital isnt. Internet Explorer accepts them both.
Netscape also screws up the alignment of the first table, which should be centered, just like the second one.
I have not yet got the W-accents and some of the Y-accents to display on Unix systems running on Sun Sparc hardware.
Thats it!
